Topic: Immigration
When it comes to "illegal" Immigration.....and their Supporters....They give a lot of great reasons to stop it, and deport them. Unfortunately, the reasons for illegals to migrate here, outweighs all of their reasons against it.
Primarily, immigrants either legal or not want to migrate here because they are looking for better living conditions, either financially, security or spiritual.
Against illegal Immig.
1. illegals lower wages..
2. they take jobs aways from legal workers..
3. bring diseases..
4. not fair for other legal immigrants waiting in line..
5. they don't assimilate..
6. they don't learn English..
7. they have multiple families to a single family home..
8. the African American community is getting hurt..
etc.
My opinion is this..
1. Yes, I agree their maybe evidence of lowering wages...but the State decides on the Minimum Wages, as long as they get paid more than that then everybody is under the law. You have a lot of people w/ High School Education or less demanding more money than what the labor market can bare. Plus the number of people losing money because of the lowering of wages is very few compare to the people benefiting from those jobs.
2. Take jobs..yes, but that only means that the legal worker didn't have the skills, experience or education to be more qualified to do the job. Plus the people making these allegations are the ones discriminating against the African American community, who don't hire them just because of their dark skin color. Also..you can look at the unemployment statistics that show that unmployment is in their lowest numbers in years...So their is no correlation between illegals and unemployment. As a matter a fact you can look at California were there is the highest numbers of illegal workers in the U.S. and see that the state has a Very Strong Economy and labor force, plus the highest Minimum Wages, going up to $8 by 2008.
3. Diseases..Nonsense. 4. Not fair to other immig...More Nonsense.
5 Don't Assimilate...Did White Immigrants Assimilate to the Native American life styles. Did the Black Slaves Assimailate, Did the Asians assimilate, Did the Middle Easterners Assimilate -No...Then why should the immigrants today assimilate. No one else is assimilating.
6. Don't learn English.....More nonsense...Everybody knows that the first immigrants have a hard time learning, but their children and grandchildren..LEARN English and in most times FORGET Spanish. So that is another unbased, without merit reason...just thrown out there.
7. Multiple Families...When times get Hard...they have to help each other but eventually they move out..They don't live like that for ever. But who is talking...? The same people that don'w allow minorities to live in their nice suburbs...Every time I go to a nice neighborhood I don't see hardly any African Americans living their Why?...Discrimination. more later on that.
8. African American getting hurt!...True but not by the illegals coming over the border..this is just laughable...lol. They are getting hurt by the White, Angl, Caucasians...that make laws to control and over power the Black Community..From Kidnapping them and bring them over the Atlantic Ocean from Africa..to Selling them for Slavery to the White Landowner, to Segration and keeping them apart from the Labor market, money and freedom....The White Community continues to discriminate against the blacks based on skin color..hello. They don't give them equal opportunities and treat them differently in the criminal justice system..by giving them harsher and longer sentences from whites...you decide...who is hurting the Black Community the illegals coming over theborder or the Whites.
